Users are individuals who are able to sign into your ComplyAuto Esquire dashboard and can be given different levels of access.
There are two types of users in ComplyAuto Esquire: those that are administrators and can login to the Admin Portal, and those that cannot.
All users are eligible to take advantage of our MFA, EDR, Metadata Wiping, and Encrypted Messaging tools. (Note: You may disable a user's access to Encrypted Messaging temporarily if you suspect that their account may be compromised.)
How can I tell what type of user I am?
Determining what type of user you are is easy. While logged into ComplyAuto Esquire, look at the left-hand sidebar. If the white "Admin Portal" button is present, you are an administrator.

You can also find this information in the Admin Portal.
If you have access to the Admin Portal, you can see which users are administrators and which are not.
While logged into ComplyAuto Esquire:
- click on the "Admin Portal" button,
- then, once the Admin Portal loads, click on the "Users" left-hand sidebar menu item.
You will now see a table of all of the users in your account. The column labeled "Roles" will display if that particular user is an administrator or not.
By clicking on the small funnel icon next to the label "Roles", you can filter down to just administrators or just non-administrators (by choosing "None".)
