How do I adjust my settings in ComplyCrypt?

This article will walk you through the different settings for ComplyCrypt setup for an admin on the dashboard.

On the ComplyCrypt Dashboard, you can personalize certain settings to match your preferences.

In the "Settings" Section you will find:

  1. Organizational Portal Link and QR Code
  2. Data Retention Configuration
  3. Request Files Link Expiration Configuration
  4. View Files Link Expiration Configuration
  5. Sent Files Link Expiration Configuration
  6. Safelist Configuration

Let's look at each one a more closely . . .

  • Organization Portal link and QR Code
    • At the top of the screen, you'll find another location for your organization's Portal Link
      • Text or Email: You can copy the link and paste into another tab or share via text/email, so a user can enter the ComplyCrypt Portal and create a unique link for document sharing
      • Mobile Device Camera App: Scan the QR code to enter the ComplyCrypt Portal
        To share the link

💡Hot Tip: All of the remaining settings, Data Retention, Link Expiration Configurations, and Safelists, are there to help limit your exposure! For every day a document is in the system, there's a potential for a data breach. This is why we'll never allow you to have a document for longer than 60 days.

  • Data Retention Configuration

    • This setting determines how long documents will be accessible once they have been shared.

⚠️ Warning: If the retention period lapses and the document has not been downloaded elsewhere, it will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered!

  • Request Files Link Expiration Configuration

    • Select how long you’d like the link that is sent to a customer remains active.
  • View Files Link Expiration Configuration

    • When a file is uploaded, the designated recipient(s) will receive an email with a "View File" link. This setting determines how long the View File link you are given from ComplyAuto (you can make it different than the data retention)
  • Sent Files Link Expiration Configuration

    • When sending a files to a customer/client, you may predetermine how long the link that allows them to view the file will remain active.
  • Safelist Configuration

    • If you would like to further restrict who has access to send/request/view files, you may limit the IP addresses and domains that have access to your organizations ComplyCrypt.

📓 Note: This will deny access to anyone in your organization if they attempt to access files on a device not in your network. e.g. A salesperson tries to download customer information onto their home computer: Denied! 🚫
