Connect QR code stickers to equipment checklists

This article will help EHS Pros and other employees connect QR code inspection checklists to equipment

Many pieces of equipment require inspections. Inspections range from daily to annually, and CompyAuto Safety has easy-to-use QR codes that can be adhered to the equipment itself.  As a general rule, the following pieces should be inspected accordingly:

Forklift - Daily

Eyewash station - Weekly

Aboveground Tank - Monthly

Below Ground Tank - Monthly and Annually

Scissor Lift - Daily

Aerial Lift - Daily

Scaffold - Daily

Fire Extinguisher - Monthly

Connect the QR Code Sticker to the piece of equipment in the portal.

From the Equipment and Chemical Inventory Page:

• Select “Equipment Inventory”

• Click on the tile that matches the piece of equipment you are trying to add. e.g. "Aboveground Tank"

Add QR Sticker

• Make sure you are adding a QR code sticker that accurately corresponds to the timeliness requirements for that piece of equipment. For example, a forklift should be inspected DAILY and not ANNUALLY

• Select “+ Add QR Sticker”

Scan Barcode

• After you click “+ Add QR Sticker”, a barcode scanner will pop up.

• Scan the barcode for the piece of equipment you are adding

Final Step

Apply the sticker to a clean and visible area on the equipment.
